Monsoon Active in Koshi, Rain Likely in Hilly Areas

Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that monsoon winds have become active in Koshi Province, while westerly and local winds are influencing weather patterns in Nepal’s western and central regions.
As a result, the hilly areas of the country are experiencing partly cloudy skies, while weather remains mostly clear elsewhere.
This afternoon, light to moderate rain with lightning is expected in parts of Koshi Province, and isolated areas of Madhesh Province and other hilly regions. Light snowfall is also possible in high hill and mountain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
Tonight, skies will remain partly cloudy in hilly regions including Koshi, with continued chances of light rain and snowfall in high-altitude areas of Koshi and Gandaki. The rest of the country is likely to remain mostly clear.
